OGI Bio is excited to announce the official launch of our Mk2 Microbial Culturing System, the next generation of our automated culturing technology. Building on the success of our previous systems, the Mk2 offers enhanced performance, increased function, and greater ease of use, designed to meet the evolving needs of modern research laboratories.

The Mk2 system delivers improved efficiency, reliability, and versatility, enabling researchers to automate routine measurement of microbial growth, dissolved oxygen concentration and fluorescent signals in their cultures and for the first time control these parameters using our Turbidostat pump system. The addition of these features position it as a powerful tool for accelerating scientific discovery in microbiology, biotechnology, and synthetic biology.

“We’re so excited to unveil the Mk2 system,” said Dr. Alex McVey, CEO of OGI Bio. “This launch is the culmination of a lot of effort from everyone in the company to meet a greater range of customer culturing needs. The enhancements mean that even more users can benefit from accessible, efficient, and cost-effective automation in labs around the world.”
